Privacy policy

This policy describes what BestCruiseDeals.us collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect little, we sell nothing, and everything optional is opt-in.

What we collect

• Email addresses you submit to the newsletter or price alert forms, with the preferences you set. Used only to send what you asked for; every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
• Details you submit through the quote request form: name, email, optional phone number and your trip preferences. Used only to answer that request, and passed to the cruise specialist who handles it.
• Aggregate analytics: pages viewed, referral sources and approximate region, used to understand what content helps readers. We configure analytics to avoid storing personal identifiers where the tooling allows.
• Behavioural analytics through Microsoft Clarity, described in full below. This includes a recording of how you move through a page.
• Local storage on your device for site features such as saved cruises. This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us.
• Standard server logs, IP address, user agent and requested URL, retained briefly for security and debugging.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
• We do not share your email with cruise lines or any other third party.
• We do not display advertising on this site, and we run no ad network tags or retargeting pixels.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how readers actually use the site: which sections get read, where people stop scrolling and which pages lead to a phone call. Clarity records page views as a replay of pointer movement, clicks, taps and scrolling, and aggregates those into heatmaps. We use it to fix confusing pages, not to identify individuals.

Clarity masks text and form field values by default, so what you type into the newsletter or deal finder forms is not captured in a replay. It sets its own cookies, currently _clck and _clsk, to tie the pages of one visit together. The data is processed by Microsoft, which may use it under its own terms, including for improving and personalising Microsoft products and advertising. That processing is outside our control. You can opt out at any time by enabling Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, by blocking clarity.ms with any content blocker, or by writing to us at hello@bestcruisedeals.us.

Outbound links

This site carries no affiliate links and no advertising. Where we link out to a cruise line or another site, that site sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy, and no personal information from us travels with the click.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email instantly, request a copy or deletion of any personal data we hold, and clear locally stored data through your browser. Requests to hello@bestcruisedeals.us; we respond within 30 days. Depending on your jurisdiction, including the EEA, UK and California, you may have additional statutory rights, which we honour for all readers regardless of location.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Material changes to this policy are announced on this page with an updated date above.
