How this site makes money

Last updated

BestCruiseDeals.us earns money through affiliate partnerships. When you click certain links on this site and then book a cruise, buy travel insurance or purchase another travel product, we may receive a commission from the seller. This never increases the price you pay.

Which links are affiliate links

Outbound links to booking sites, cruise lines and travel product sellers may be affiliate links. They are marked in our code with sponsored link attributes, which also tells search engines about the relationship. Internal links between our own pages are never commercial.

The firewall

  • Commission rates play no role in scores, rankings or which lines we recommend. Our review framework does not contain a revenue input.
  • Lines that pay us nothing are reviewed identically to lines that pay commissions, and several of our highest-scored lines generate no revenue for us at all.
  • Writers and fact-checkers are not told which partners pay what, and their compensation is unrelated to affiliate revenue.
  • We publish criticism of every line we cover, including partners. If a partnership were conditioned on softer coverage, we would end the partnership.

What we do not do

  • No sponsored reviews, paid placements or advertorial disguised as editorial.
  • No free or discounted sailings from cruise lines.
  • No sale of reader data to partners; see the privacy policy.
