BestCruiseDeals.us does two things: we research what cruises really cost and what sailings are really like, and we advise readers who call us before they book. We compare the 15 cruise lines that carry most North American passengers, cover 15 destinations and 10 departure ports, and maintain cost guides built from a weekly fare index rather than from brochure rates.

The site exists because cruise pricing and cruise marketing are unusually opaque. Advertised fares exclude a third of the real cost, discount percentages reference prices nobody pays, and most cruise content online is written by people who have not sailed the ships they describe. Our fix is boring and effective: sail the lines, sample the fares weekly, publish the numbers, and name the writer and fact-checker on every page.

How we work

• Our five-person editorial team has logged more than 480 sailings, paid for by this site.
• Every price is drawn from a weekly sampling of 40-plus departures, re-verified at least every 90 days.
• Every page names its author and its fact-checker, both of whom have public profiles on this site.
• Cruise lines do not review, approve or fund our content, and we accept no free or discounted sailings.

How we make money

One way. When you call (833) 616-1374 and go on to book a cruise, we are paid a commission by the provider that issues the booking, at no additional cost to you. We carry no advertising and no affiliate links. That commission means we are not a neutral party, so check our numbers against the cruise line rather than taking our impartiality on trust.
